Ryan Moats Accepts Officers Apology

NFL running back Ryan Moats made headlines recently when he was detained by a Dallas police officer for running a red light and speeding to the hospital to visit his dying mother-in-law.

Ryan and wife Tamisha appeared on Good Morning America Monday to say they would accept the apology from officer Robert Powell, but that they hoped the apology was sincere. Powell detained Moats for 20 minutes while Tamisha ran inside the hospital to see her dying mother. In a dashboard cam video of the incident, Moats is seen trying to explain the situation to the officer, who tells Moats to "shut his mouth" and find his proof of insurance.

Ryan and Tamisha told GMA host Robin Roberts that despite claims to the contrary, the officer drew his gun and pointed it at the couple as they arrived at the hospital.

"My wife was the first one to exit the car, and I really didn't realize what was going on at the time," Moats said. "Once I got out, I realized it was pretty serious, and I was afraid for her because he was pointing the gun at her."

Officer Powell was placed on administrative leave Thursday for his inappropriate behavior. He has issued an apology that says "With great remorse I accept my responsibility for adding to their grief in an already difficult time."

"Blame It on the Goose got you feeling loose...Blame It on the A-A-A-Alcohol" you know the rest Jamie Foxx's hit "Blame It" is played atleast once sometimes twice within an hour at the hottest clubs in every city. I went to the club last night and the owner told me he sells more liquor everytime the DJ plays that song I guess it's brainwashing or mental persuasion for the club-goers...lmao.. I watched the men and woman flock to the bar when the song came on and all I could do was laugh, as I sipped on my Tropical Martini. Most of us love to drink it's our cure for the stress we deal with in everyday life it's relaxing, especially in this recession...but does too much of a good thing cause us to make bad decisions? A friend of mine called me crying this morning because she woke up in a complete strangers bed, she met him at a club the night before....the first thing that came to my mind was Jamie's song but I didn't dare say it... she was really upset. If we lived in the same state I would have gone over to her house and cheered her up but since I'm on the right coast and she's on the left I had to lend moral support over the phone. After an hour on the phone she talked and I listened she'd calmed down and decided not to tell her man. She told me how it happened, she was at a friends birthday party, she'd invited her man but he didn't want to come, she saw a cutey with a gray fedora when he walked in but after her fifth drink she found herself in a corner of the club and the cutey was tonguing her down...45 minutes later she was at his place riding the cutey like a cowboy! When she woke up this morning she put her clothes on and left.... she didn't bother to wake him because she thought it would be to weird introducing herself after sex...she didn't even remeber his name SMH... She'd never cheated on her man and she felt like crap for doing it...should she tell him or is the old saying true 'What you don't know won't hurt you?' I told her to follow her heart because I try not to judge or tell grown ass people what to do...I wouldn't want to be the reason she lost the love of her life...I listened...when we hung up I thought about it a little deeper because I'm a thinker ...If a woman wakes up in a complete strangers bed after a night of partying and popping bottles can she blame it on the alcohol or is she a ho?! I know people that say I would never do this or I would never do that but you get a few drinks in them and they'll do pretty much anything! I guess alcohol makes some people lose all their inhibitions or lose their mind...lmao Do you think deep down subconsciously she wanted to have sex with someone other than her man and the alcohol was just an excuse to do it? Things that make you go hmmmmm!

Today a judge sentenced Clifford ‘T.I.’ Harris to one year and one day in prison and ordered him to pay a $100,300 fine on weapons charges. He also was sentenced to some property forfeiture, supervised release for three years after his prison sentence, 365 days of home confinement (he has already served 305) and 1,500 hours of community service (1,030 served).Tip has 30-60 days to report to prison, and the sentence of one year and one day could allow him to be released earlier for good behavior, if warranted. The plea agreement, which federal authorities called unique, allowed the rapper to remain out of prison for a year while he performed community service. In that time, he mentored at-risk students at 58 schools, 12 Boys & Girls Clubs, nine churches and many other nonprofit organizations, according to court documents.

"I would like to say thank you to some, and apologize to others" Harris said at his sentencing.

Rapper and current Dancing With the Stars contestant Lil' Kim is apparently dancing for more then a title, she's dancing for a paycheck. The Grammy Award winning former felon owes nearly $1 million in state and federal taxes, dating as far back as 2004.

The Detroit News broke down the rapper's debt:

The state of New York filed a $12,599 tax warrant on April 26, 2008, in the New York County Clerk's office.
The IRS filed a $50,464 lien on Sept. 5, 2007, in the Bergen (N.J.) County Clerk's office.
The IRS filed a $67,509 lien on May 14, 2007, in Bergen County.
The state of California filed a $4,089 lien on Sept. 16, 2005, in Sacramento County Court.
The IRS filed a $232,348 lien on Aug. 16, 2005, in New Jersey.
The state of New Jersey filed a $51,471 lien on Aug. 11, 2005, in New Jersey State Superior Court.
The state of New Jersey filed a $77,939 lien on Dec. 9, 2004, in New Jersey Superior Court.
The IRS filed a $482,671 lien on Feb. 19, 2004, in New Jersey.

That's a total $979,090 she owes to the federal and various state governments.

Still, don't expect to see the rapper in a federal prison for tax evasion any time soon. Her rep told the Detroit News, "Lil' Kim is paying her tax debt and will continue to do so."

This isn't the first time she's run into financial troubles. After missing four payments, her Bentley was repossessed last year and, according to Vibe, she was recently sued by Simon & Schuster for a $40,000 advance on an autobiography that never happened.

Chris Brown Charged With Two Felonies!

Chris Brown stood before a Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner today after being charged with felonies in the alleged beating of girlfriend Rihanna.

Brown, 19, did not enter a plea, and his arraignment was delayed until April 6. But the commissioner issued a protective order against the singer, saying, "Mr. Brown, you are not to annoy, harass, molest, threaten or use force or violence against anyone."

Brown, wearing a gray suit with a white handkerchief, stood next to his attorney Mark Geragos and answered only, "Yes" and "Yes, ma'am," to Commissioner Kristi Lousteau's procedural questions.

Rihanna, 21, did not attend the five-minute session, but her lawyer, Donald Etra, was in court. He did not request a more restrictive order that Brown stay away from her. The couple have reconciled since her alleged beating.

Asked on the way out of the courtroom how Rihanna was holding up, Etra said, "She's doing great. She is making sure her rights are being protected at every stage of the proceedings." As for why Rihanna didn't want a stay-away order, he said, "She did not feel a stay-away order was necessary."

Authorities charged Brown with felony counts of assault and making criminal threats, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said. If he is convicted, the sentence could range from probation to four years and eight months in prison, the office said.

The text message on Brown's phone was from "a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with," according to a sworn police statement.

The statement identified the woman only as his girlfriend, Robyn F. Rihanna's full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty.

According to the statement:
"Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn F. as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles. Robyn F. picked up Brown's cellular phone and observed a three-page text message from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.

"A verbal argument ensued and Brown pulled the vehicle over on an unknown street, reached over Robyn F. with his right hand, opened the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F. out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against the passenger window of the vehicle, causing an approximate one-inch raised circular contusion.

"Robyn F. turned to face Brown and he punched her in the left eye with his right hand. He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand. The assault caused Robyn F.'s mouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle.

"Brown looked at Robyn F. and stated, 'I'm going to beat the s--t out of you when we get home! You wait and see!' "

The detective said she then used her cell phone to call her personal assistant ... who did not answer.

"Robyn F. pretended to talk to her and stated, 'I'm on my way home. Make sure the police are there when I get there.'

"After Robyn F. faked the call, Brown looked at her and stated, 'You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I'm really going to kill you!'

"Brown resumed punching Robyn F. and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in [an] attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown.

"Brown continued to punch Robyn F. on her left arm and hand, causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps (sic) that was approximately two inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand.

"Robyn F. then attempted to send a text message to her other personal assistant. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window onto an unknown street.

"Brown continued driving and Robyn F. observed his cellular telephone sitting in his lap. She picked up the cellular telephone with her left hand and before she could make a call he placed her in a head lock with his right hand and continued to drive the vehicle with his left hand.

"Brown pulled Robyn F. close to him and bit her on her left ear. She was able to feel the vehicle swerving from right to left as Brown sped away. He stopped the vehicle ... and Robyn F. turned off the car, removed the key from the ignition and sat on it.

"Brown did not know what she did with the key and began punching her in the face and arms. He then placed her in a head lock positioning the front of her throat between his bicep and forearm. Brown began applying pressure to Robyn F.'s left and right carotid arteries, causing her to be unable to breathe and she began to lose consciousness.

"She reached up with her left hand and began attempting to gouge his eyes in an attempt to free herself. Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and then released her. While Brown continued to punch her, she turned around and placed her back against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest, placed her feet against Brown's body and began pushing him away. Brown continued to punch her on the legs and feet, causing several contusions.

"Robyn F. began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle and walked away. A resident in the neighborhood heard Robyn F.'s plea for help and called 911, causing a police response. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F. was issued a Domestic Violence Emergency Protective Order."

At the end of his statement, Andrews said Brown sent her text message apologizing nine days later.

"In the text message, Brown apologized for what he had done to Robyn F. and advised [the second personal assistant] that he was going to get help."

I understand it's a painful situation; I didn't push." said Ne-Yo he was grief-stricken after viewing the recently leaked photo of a bruised and apparently battered Rihanna shortly after her altercation with Brown. "I saw the picture," he said solemnly. "That just really — that hurt me to my heart, man. Again, I still don't know what happened, 'cause I haven't had the opportunity to talk to Chris yet. But to take it to that level really hurt my heart. All I can say is, I'm praying for both of them. They're both in my prayers. I haven't had a chance to talk to Chris yet. I just wanna sit down and talk to that dude and just explain if he doesn't understand: 'That's not something that's excusable, bruh. You have to get a little smarter about whatever it is going on in your relationship. You have to get a little smarter about how you handle certain situations.

President Obama Honors US Governors

US President Barack Obama late Sunday hosted his first White House state dinner in honor of US governors.

"Our goal and aim is to make sure that we are making life easier, and not harder, for you during the time that we're here in Washington," Obama said during the black-tie affair.

The president acknowledged that every part of the country was going through difficult times and urged bipartisan cooperation in order to overcome the economic crisis.

"I want you to know that regardless of our occasional difference, and in this very difficult time, my hope is that we can all work together," he said. "And I'm confident that we can."

Yes we can!!!

"What's better than winning an Oscar?" Madden wrote. "I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister!" The couple has a one-year old daughter Harlow, a month before Harlow was born they launched the Richie-Madden Foundation, a charity that supports families and children in need.

Rihanna To Her Fans: "She Remains Strong"

Rihanna spoke out for the first time since allegedly being assaulted by Chris Brown, issuing a statement of thanks to her fans:

"At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown," says the statement from her rep on Friday. "She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time."

The statement comes on her 21st birthday and a day after she was spotted in Los Angeles after spending nearly two weeks in seclusion.

The singer was photographed Thursday heading to an airport the same night a graphic photo reportedly showing her battered face surfaced on the Internet, upsetting her father, who criticized police for their "sloppy work."

Los Angeles Police have launched an internal investigation Thursday to determine who leaked a photo of a bruised Rihanna post-altercation.

“The photograph has the appearance of one taken during an official Domestic Violence investigation. The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence,” the LAPD said in a statement Thursday. “The Department launched an immediate internal investigation and subsequently filed a personnel complaint. A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination.”
